Camille Ciesliga





Intellectual Property Law

Camille is a registered patent attorney with over ten years of relevant legal experience providing strategic counseling relating to all aspects of intellectual property.  Her practice focuses on patent and trademark prosecution, portfolio management and analysis, and intellectual property licensing in the fields of biotechnology, life sciences, chemical and material engineering, and mechanical arts. Her experience covers a wide scope of functionalities, ranging from patent prosecution and appeals within the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), conducting Freedom to Operate assessments, landscape evaluations, and providing patentability, validity, and infringement analyses.  She also has experience providing due diligence analyses and opinion work. Camille has a wide range of technical expertise spanning principals of biology, biochemistry, chemistry, material science, biotechnology, and botany, as well as mechanical engineering, microbiology, pharmacology, physiology, pathology, and human anatomy.

Camille is experienced in transactional and contract matters, particularly as they relate to the protection of intellectual property and due diligence. She also has comprehensive litigation experience where she has been involved in all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation analysis, discovery, and patent claim construction.  Her litigation experience ranges from drafting pleadings, managing e-discovery issues, witness preparation, and preparing discovery and dispositive briefs and motions.

Camille has both in-house and boutique patent law firm experience. She has expertise in working with various functional groups within a corporation and is proficient at advising executives and technical personnel across a broad range of technological fields, including biotechnology, chemistry, medical devices, diagnostic instruments and immunological assays, food science, polymers, materials and ceramics.

Camille holds a BS in Biology from Michigan State University, and a JD with distinction and LLM from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. She is admitted to practice in Michigan, Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
