Profile

Dr. Ahuja is an accomplished executive with over 20 years of experience leading US and global business initiatives for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and high-tech firms, ranging from developmental-stage companies to Fortune 100 corporations.  

 

After multiple senior-level functional roles in the biopharmaceutical industry, Dr. Ahuja accepted the role of CEO at The Nexus Embassy, an innovative high-tech company pioneering the most advanced blockchain technology.  In 2018, he provided strategic direction to drive the rapid expansion of Nexus’ innovations in distributed ledger technology, as well as in terrestrial and satellite peer-to-peer mesh networking. His dynamic leadership enabled Nexus to develop revolutionary applications across many industries, including but not limited to Health Care and Biopharmaceuticals.

 

Immediately prior to Nexus, Dr. Ahuja was the Global Head of Medical Affairs for Allergan plc, accountable for the Medical Affairs strategies for all products in every country.  Prior to that, at Pfizer, Inc. and Takeda Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Ahuja utilized medical leadership roles to drive for results in drug development trials and new product launches, while also enabling to transform the departments, including leading innovations for the coordinated development of commercial and R&D strategic plans and their execution.

 

Earlier in his career, Dr. Ahuja progressed through critical US and Global roles in Marketing, Business Development, Strategy, and Commercial Operations, with Novartis AG and with Tepha, Inc.  (a biotech start-up), achieving explosive success in the markets while developing productive internal and external relationships.

 

After earning a Bachelor of Science as well as a Certificate in Neuroscience from Duke University, Dr. Ahuja received his M.D. degree from Washington University St Louis, followed by residency training at Northwestern and a Cardiology fellowship at Harvard Medical School.  He then earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and completed an internship with the Boston Consulting Group.

 

Dr. Ahuja has dual citizenship in the U.S. and U.K., and he speaks four languages.
